Changing your avatar and preferences

Change your name and avatar

When you first entered the space you may have already chosen an avatar, otherwise, you can change it at any time from the menu.

• Click on 'More' at the bottom of the bar
• Go to 'Change name & avatar'
• Change your name in the text field above the avatar. By default, this is a fantasy name
• Click on 'Change avatar' to choose another avatar.
• You now can choose an avatar from the list. 
• Choose a default avatar from the list. Please note that there are several pages

After you make your choice, don't forget to click 'Accept' to save your changes ! Anytime you want to see with which Avatar you joined a room click on the i button on your keyboard to see yourself. 

Change personal settings

Through the menu, you can change your personal settings for audio, controls, and display of the room.

• Open the menu via 'More'
• Click on 'Preferences'
• You now have 3 panels
  • Audio: here you can change your sound settings. Only adjust this if you experience problems with the sound. If for example, your microphone is not working you can change it via the option 'Preferred mic'.
  • Controls: set the speed at which you move. You can also adjust the settings for the touchscreen here.
  • Misc: here you can find a number of other settings such as language, displaying name tags and which webcam imedu should use. Also here you can adjust some technical settings like resolution. We recommend leaving these alone unless you know what you are doing or have received instructions from support.
