Release 2.3 - More information for first-time users and stability updates

Date: July 28

This is a small release, but has some great improvements for first-time users.

More information & help for first-time students

As virtual spaces are new to most people, you might be a bit confused or curious what to expect.

To inform you what will happen when you join a session, and help with problems, we added two buttons on the session access page, for more information upfront.

"How does this work?"

This will give a preview of what happens when they 'Join' the session, using some short video's. It will make the experience less scary and give some first context on what they will experience.

The popup that gives a brief tour throught the session startup process

"Having problems?"

This shows a popup with some common issues and solutions, to help people if they have trouble joining the space.

Friendly reminder to use the Guide for help

In a space you can always open the 'Guide' for information on the session, or help with navigation.

To make sure first-time users are aware of this, we now show a friendly reminder. When you've open the Guide once, this message will dissappear.

Furthermore, the Guide itself has also been revamped, with clearer buttons and a new 'help' page with more information and troubleshooting tips.

The new guide, with new buttons, a quick reminder of navigation and a better HELP page.

Stability update for interactive spaces

We're aware that some people encounter issues with missing 'labels' on blocks or cards, when loading interactive spaces (like the escape room). This is related to differences in (wifi) network speed.

We released a first improvement to prevent this issue. For our next release we will change the way the system works to be independent of your wifi-network speed.

More updates are coming...

We are using the summer weeks for some more updates, so stay tuned!

Expect a big release at the end of August or start of September, with some exciting new features for teachers and facilitators, as well as some more small improvements on the help pages and Guide in the coming weeks.
