How to make text posters (images) if you don't have drawing software

❗️ Update: this might be easier with the new 'Notes' feature

If you want to create custom images with text (or other things) and don't have a drawing program, you can easily use Powerpoint to do so.

To make your own custom image(s) in Powerpoint:

  • Open a new Powerpoint
  • Go to 'Page setup' and change the slide dimensions to match the desired dimensions of your image. (Don't make it too big, use 1024px by 1024px for a square image, or in cm 36cm by 36cm. If you prefer a 16:9 ratio you can use 1024px by 576px, or 36cm by 21 cm
  • Now create your images just by editing the slides and the familiar powerpoint tools
  • To finally save your slide(s) as JPG files: go to File > Export and select JPG. Make sure to export all slides as individual images.
